At least 28 people have been killed in mob lynching in September 2024. During this period, at least 14 people were wounded in the same process.
This information was revealed in the report of the human rights organization ‘Human Rights Support Society’ on Thursday.
According to the report, at least 16 people were killed in 83 incidents of political violence across the country in September. Apart from this, eight more members of Awami League, BNP and Jamaat were killed in clashes and attacks aimed at spreading incidences of showing own dominance.Besides, two persons were killed and four injured in BSF firing along the border this month.
At least 44 incidents of rape have taken place in the last month. 15 of them are teenagers; 18 women and girls were gang-raped. Four were killed after being raped, while one committed suicide.
