Eminent Nazrul Sangeet singer Nashid Kamal and her daughter Armeen Musa have been nominated for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards for their song titled ‘Jago Piya’.
The song has been nominated for the Best Global Music Album of Grammy Awards.
According to the Grammy website, Nashid Kamal, and Armeen Musa are the first Bangladeshi singers who have been selected for the award.The Grammy Awards ceremony will be held in Los Angeles, USA on February 5, 2023.
Penned by Nashid Kamal, her daughter Armeen lent her voice to the song.
Nashid, who is the eldest granddaughter of Bengali folk singer Abbasuddin Ahmed, completed graduation in music at Berklee College.
