Shabnur, one of the most popular actors of the 90s, recently came to the country after three years. She is all set to return to acting.

The actor is in talk to appear in Chayanika Chowdhury’s next “Matal Hawa” opposite Mahfuz Ahmed.

“Rangana” is Arafat’s debut film. Earlier he worked as an assistant director in several movies. He also directed dramas for the small screen.

Arafat shared, “The film will be made on a thriller story. The audiences still want to see Shabnur on screen. And I also want to work with her in my debut film. I have written the story accordingly. She has appeared in numerous romantic movies. Although it is a female-centric story, there are differences in the storyline. The story of “Rangana” revolves around Shabnur. Who will act opposite Shabnur will be announced soon.” 

“The shooting of the movie will begin in the New Year. Filming will be completed by working continuously. The movie is planned to release on Eid next year,” Arafat added.

There are three songs in the movie “Rangana”. The songs are penned by National Film Award winning lyricist Kabir Bakul. Popular singer Imran Mahmudul will sing and compose music for two songs.

The story of the movie is written by the director himself. The screenplay and dialogues are done by Tanmoy Muktadir, reports Daily Sun.
