Police seek 7 day remand for Prince Mamun

The police seek the permission to take TikToker Abdullah Al Mamun alias Prince Mamun (25) on seven days remand in the rape case filed by Laila Akhtar Farhad. The Cantonment police station of the capital has made this application. The remand hearing is scheduled to be held at Dhaka's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on Tuesday (11 June).

Earlier on Monday around 9:30 pm, he was arrested from Daudakandi toll plaza area of ​​Dhaka-Chittagong highway district. Later, around 12:30 pm, he was brought to Dhaka.

Officer-in-charge of Daudkandi police station Mozammel Haque said that a rape complaint was filed against Tiktoker Mamun at the Dhaka Cantonment Police Station. In this regard, Dhaka Cantonment Police sent us a requisition to arrest Mamun based on the information that Mamun is staying in Comilla. After that, a raid was conducted in Daudkandi Toll Plaza area and he was arrested around 9:30 pm. Later, a team of Dhaka Cantonment police station led by the investigating officer of the case was actually handed over to them around 12:30 pm.

Laila filed a rape case against Prince Mamun at the Cantonment Police Station of the capital on Sunday (June 9) for tempting Laila to marry him and commit rape.
