Several districts of the country have been affected by floods. About 5 million people were stuck in the water. Especially in Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur and Cumilla, the situation is worse, reports Daily Sun.
Besides various organisations and people, celebrities also stand by the flood victims. Many rushed to the affected area with relief. Film actress Shobnom Bubly is one of them. She gave relief materials to her hometown Noakhali on Thursday.
Bubly distributed relief by boat in several areas including Senbagh, Banglabazar, Chatkhil, Begumganj, Sonaimuri in this district.The actress shared some pictures taken during the distribution of relief among the flood victims on her Facebook account. However, she did not use pictures of helpless people who received relief.
In the post, Bubly wrote, “Seeing the flood-affected people closely, the hardships felt doubled. I always try to stay close to these people in my way. Because this is my peace of mind.”
“In the true sense of solidarity and love, much relief has been collected in Dhaka for the flood-affected people’ but reaching them is the biggest challenge now. The communication system is very fragile in the flood water towards the village. Therefore, I request everyone to cooperate with the flood victims so that the relief materials they deserve reach,” she added.
