Bashundhara arranges iftar at Baitul Mukarram for 2,000 Muslims daily

Bashundhara Group Managing Director and Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Musalli Committee Chief Advisor Sayem Sobhan Anvir initiated the holy act of offering Iftar to the muslims at Baitul Mukarram which has received a great response among the people coming to the mosque.

About 2,000 people were sitting in front of Baitul Mukarram's East Sahan before Iftar on Monday. A unique scene emerged in Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, busy with distribution of Iftar by the volunteers and loving the guidance of the leaders of the Muslim Committee.

This initiative of the managing director of Bashundhara Group, the country's leading industrial family, was applauded by the fasting worshipers who came to the National Mosque.

Not far from Motijheel, the capital's commercial area, many people come to the National Mosque after finishing their work to taste Bashundhara's Iftar. In this arrangement of iftar, people of all classes meet and forget about class discrimination and break fast at the same time.

This is an unimaginably lovely scene, a heart touching scene. Such a scene was observed on Monday in the east Sahan of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

The programme is under overall supervision of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Musalli Committee General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Manik. He said, “Bashundhara Group always works for the welfare of country and people. The best example of this is the Iftar organize of Baitul Mukarram.”

“The Iftar organize of Baitul Mukarram was closed for two consecutive years since the year of Corona. In response to our request, Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, a leading industrial company in the country, accepted the offer to become the Chief Advisor to the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Musalli Committee.”

“After becoming the chief advisor, Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir asked us what work I can do in the service of Islam? Then we told him that since the year of Corona, Iftar is closed in the National Mosque. If iftar can be introduced anew then countless people can be made to break iftar. He immediately accepted this great offer,” he added.

Mizanur Rahman Manik said, “Since then, he (Sayem Sobhan Anvir) organized Iftar for the people coming to the National Mosque. Since last year, this initiative has received a huge response from the fasting people and Musalli Committee. With the funding of Sayem Sobhan Anvir, last year we provided Iftar to 36,000 people throughout Ramadan. But this year, he has arranged to make Iftar to about two thousand fasting people every day.”

“This year, about 60,000 people will be given Iftar. It is true that there are many industrialists in the country, but the number of industrialists who are involved in such good and noble work is very few. Only those whom Allah Rabbul Alamin accepts will serve Islam,” he said.

“Apart from organizing Iftar for 2000 people, Hefzul Quran competition has been started throughout Ramadan with the funding of Bashundhara Group. The month-long Hefzul Quran competition will conclude with the grand finale on 26th Ramadan.”

“The winners will be formally awarded at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) on May 20. This initiative of Sayem Sobhan Anvir in the service of Islam undoubtedly deserves praise.”

“Many prayers from the bottom of the heart for the Chairman and Managing Director of Bashundhara Group in the presence of the great Allah Rabbul Alamin so that Bashundhara Group can be involved in such good work more and more. May Allah grant them a good life and always keep them healthy, this is the prayer from the Muslims,” he added.
