Sri Lanka needs 80 runs to reach Asia Cup final

Sri Lankan opening batters Pathum Nissanka scored 50 runs off 34 balls and Kusal Mendis scored 44 runs from 28 balls to post total of 94 runs in 10.4 overs in the third match of Super of the Asia Cup 2022 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday night.

Earlier in the first innings, Indian opener Rohit Sharma scored 72 runs off 41 balls and middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav scored 34 runs from 29 balls.

On the other hand, Sri Lankan bowler Dilshan Madushanka bagged 3 wickets for 24 runs in 4 overs.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to field first.   

After winning the toss, Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka said, “We'll bowl first because of the record here. All the last three games have been chased down here. The approach has been outstanding by our batters and we hope to continue the same.”
