Bangladesh women's soccer team on Tuesday made history for the first time ever to progress to the semifinal of the SAFF Women’s Championship as Group A champions at the Dasarath Stadium in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Sirat Jahan scored a brace and Krishna Rani Sarkar netted once to help Bangladesh clinch a 3-0 victory against mighty India.

On September 16, the team will face Bhutan in the semifinal at the same venue.
