Hockey Champions Trophy begins tomorrow

Trophy of the country maiden Hockey Champions Trophy was formally unveiled at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.

Captains of participating six participating teams -- Acme Chattogram, Metro Express Barisal, Monarch Mart Padma, Rupayan City Cumilla, Saif Powertec Group Khulna and Walton Dhaka - unveiled the trophy of the franchise based tournament organised by Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF), reports BSS.

Skippers of Acme Chattogram, Saif Powertec Group Khulna, Rupayn City Cumilla and Monarch Mart Padma expressed their high hope to make a winning start in the tournament.

The Hockey Champions Trophy begins tomorrow (Friday) with two matches are billed on the opening day.

On the first day of the tournament, Acme Chattogram will take on Saif Powertec Group Khulna at 6:30 pm while Rupayn City Cumilla will face Shakib Al Hasan's Monarch Mart Padma in the day's second match of the opening day's fixture that kicks off at 8:5 pm.

Satellite channel T-Sports will telecast both the opening day's matches live at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
