India beat Bangladesh by 3 wickets in a low-scoring thriller

Bangladesh tried to restrict India within the short target of 145 in the second Test, but India managed to chase the target down thanks to the fighting batting of number nine batter Ravichandran Ashwin.

In the fourth day of the test held in Dhaka, India needed 100 runs to win with 6 wickets in their hand. Bangladesh began to take wickets from the very beginning of the day. At one stage India were 74/7.

However, the unseparated 8th wicket stand of 71 runs between Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin took the game out of the grip of Bangladesh.

Ashwin scored unbeaten 42 off 66 balls, while Shreyas was also not out at 29 off 46 balls.

Mehdidy Hasan Miraz took 5 wickets in Indian second innings.

Ashwin was judged Player of the Match for his brillian alrounding performance as he also grabbed 5 wickets in the match.

Score: Bangladesh 227 & 231 and India 214 and 145/7
