Messi’s Argentina likely to visit Dhaka in June

FIFA World Cup Champions, Lionel Messi's Argentina, is likely to visit Dhaka next June to play a FIFA Friendly match in Dhaka.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) President Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin told the media on Tuesday that the Argentina team accepted BFF’s proposal to play a friendly match in Dhaka in the FIFA window in June.

He said the tour of the Argentina team in Bangladesh is almost final. We are now discussing with them their team and conditions, if everything will progress in the right way then there is no doubt about the match.

However, the opponent team of Argentina is yet to be confirmed. BFF is closely communicating with some countries to play the match against Argentina.

On September 6, 2011, Argentina played a friendly football match against Nigeria at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka where Argentina beat Nigeria by 3-1 goals.
