Taskin rested as Bangladesh chose to bat first in final ODI

Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal chose to bat first after winning toss in the third and final ODI against visiting England at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Monday in an aim avoid a whitewash, reports BSS.

The Tigers' seven successive series victory at home since their last defeat to the same opponent back in 2016 came to an end after suffering a three-wicket and 132-run defeat in the first two matches in Mirpur.

The hosts however made just one change to avoid losing all of the matches of an ODI series at home since 2012, with fast bowler Ebadot Hossain replacing Taskin Ahmed.

England brought up three changes with leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed making his ODI debut as the youngest English player. He also made his Test debut earlier last month as the youngest player for England.

Fast bowler Jofra Archer and allrounder Chris Woakes came back to the side after missing the last game.
Saqib Mahmood, Mark Wood and Will jacks who suffered an injury and flew to England made the way for the trio.

Line-Ups:
Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal (capt), Liton Das, Najmul Hossain, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mahmudullah, Afif Hossain, Mehidy Hasan, Ebadot Hossain, Taijul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman
England: Jason Roy, Phil Salt, Dawid Malan, James Vince, Jos Buttler (capt, wk), Will Jacks, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Rehan Ahmed, Jofra Archer.
