Bangladesh whitewashed visiting England in the three-match T20 series for the first time at Shere Bangla National Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur on Tuesday making new history.

Litton Das becomes player of the match and Najmul Hossain Shanto becomes player of the series. 

Opener Dawid Malan scored 53 runs off 47 balls while skipper Jos Buttler scored 40 runs from 31 balls.

Taskin Ahmed bagged two wickets while debutant Tanvir Islam, Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman got one wicket each.

In the first innings, the Tigers scored 158 runs for 2 wickets in 20 overs.

Opener Litton Das scored his highest runs in the T20 format. He scored 73 runs off 57 balls.

Top-order batter Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 47 runs from 36 balls.

Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan bagged one wicket each.

Earlier, England won the toss and elected to field first.
