Tigers won the first ODI match by 183 runs against Ireland at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

This is the highest win by runs in the history of Bangladesh Cricket.

In response to Bangladesh’s 338 runs, the visitor wrapped up 155 runs in 3.5 overs.

Middle-order batter George Dockrell scored the highest 45 runs off 47 balls while opener Stephen Doheny hit 34 runs from 38 balls. 

Bangladesh Pacer Ebadot Hossain bagged 4 wickets while spinner Nasum Ahmed got 3 wickets.     

Earlier in the first innings, Bangladesh scored 338 runs in 50 overs for 8 wickets.

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan scored the highest 93 runs off 89 balls followed by Towhid Hridoy's 92 runs from 85 balls. 

As the third Bangladeshi cricketer, Towhid Hridoy got his first fifty runs as a debutant.

Wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim’s 44 off 26 runs helped the Tigers to reach the record score of the team at this venue.

Ireland bowler Graham Hume bagged 4 wickets.

After winning the toss, Ireland opted to field first.
