Like international cricket all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, you may avail yourself of the opportunity to watch all sports through an App. Bangladesh’s first-ever sports channel T Sports is going to make commercial launch of its OTT platform T Sports App by streaming Indian Premier League (IPL), the most-popular cricket league in the world.

Sports lovers watched international leagues-- T20, Pakistan Super League (PSL), and Women's Premier League (WPL) matches live on T Sports App successfully.

To bring sports events to spectators amid many preoccupations of hectic life, T Sports was working on OTT platform from the outset. Within two years, the T Sports succeeded in making the App. The authorities of the channel were awaiting a biggest sports event for commercial launch.

Ishtiaq Sadek, CEO of T Sports, said “We had a great dream about T Sports App. It required long efforts. There is no bigger event than IPL for commercial launch of the App. IPL paves the way for showcasing performance of Shakib, Mustafiz and Liton of Bangladesh as well as cricket legends of other countries. We would like to ensure with great pleasure that nobody will be deprived of IPL.”

The IPL ranks the second considering popularity among TV viewers. Transcending the barriers of the Indian Sub-Continent, the tournament has won the hearts of millions across the globe. The tournament spreads warmth across Bangladesh also. All eyes are fixed on the television at homes or tea-stalls. Their craze reached the climax if and when any Bangladeshi cricketer plays.

With the span of time, OTT platform has gained growing popularity among digital spectators. So, the Board of Control for Cricket in India sold IPL’s television and digital titles separately.

T Sports has bought rights for five years from Viacom 18 which holds Indian Sub-Continent title. So, the sports channel of the country’s largest business conglomerate Bashundhara Group will stream all events of IPL through App till 2027. Besides, people will be able to enjoy IPL matches watching T-Sports TV channel.

Global all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and national team opener Liton Das are brand ambassadors of T Sports App.

The two Bangladeshi stars will play for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL. Also, they will work for promotion of the App.
