Bangladesh defeated visiting Ireland by 77 runs in the second T20 match against visiting Ireland at Chattogram Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Wednesday.

Shakib Al Hasan become player of the match. 

In response to Bangladesh’s 202 runs, Ireland stopped at 125 runs in 17 overs for 9 wickets.

Curtis Campher scored 30 runs off 30 balls while Harry Tector scored 22 runs from 16 balls.

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan bagged 5 wickets for 22 runs while Taskin Ahmed got 3 wickets for 27 runs.

Earlier, in the first innings, Bangladesh scored record 202 runs in the reduced 17 over for 3 wickets.

Litton Das smashed the highest 83 runs off 41 balls while Rony Talukdar and Shakib Al Hasan scored 44 and 38 runs respectively.

Benjamin White bagged 2 wickets while Mark Adair got one wicket.

Ireland won the toss the opted to field first.
