Tigers give low score to Afghans in 1st ODI

Host Bangladesh scored 169 runs by 9 wickets in the reduced 43 overs match due to rain in the first game of the ODI series against Afghanistan at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Wednesday.

Middle-order batter Towhid Hridoy scored the highest 51 runs off 69 balls and opener Litton Das scored 26 runs from 35 balls.

Afghan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi bagged 3 wickets while Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan got 2 wickets each. 

In the second innings, the visitor will bat targeting 170 runs in 43 overs.

Earlier, Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bowl first.
