Fargana Hoque scored a maiden One Day International century for Bangladesh women against India during their third and final match of the series at Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla national cricket stadium on Saturday.

Tigresses scored 225 runs losing four wickets in their 50 overs.

She got run out in the last ball of the innings after scoring 107 off 160 deliveries with six boundaries.

The previous highest score for Bangladesh women in ODIs was 75 scored by Rumana Ahmed and Salma Khatun in two different matches.

Besides Fargana's brilliant century, Shamima Sultana also scored a half-century, 52 off 78 deliveries with eight boundaries.
