Sri Lanka took a firm control from the very beginning of the match of Asia Cup 2023 against Bangladesh as they bowled out Bangladesh for just 164 in 42.4 overs.

Najmul Hossain Shanto and Tawhid Hridoy tried to give Bangladesh a good total, but they failed at last.

Mathesha Pathirana took 4 wickets for 32 runs for the home side. 

Rain had been predicted for the day and Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka had said that he has factored it in his plans for the day.
