Mushfiqur Rahim, former captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team, has been blessed with a baby girl.

Mushfiqur’s wife gave birth to the baby at a hospital in the capital on Monday.

Mushfiqur himself confirmed the matter in a Facebook post, reports Daily Sun.

Rahim returned to Dhaka on Sunday after getting a three-day leave from the team management.

The cricketer is expected to join the side ahead of the final Super Four match against India on September 15.     

Mushfiq tied the knot with Jannatul Kifayat Mondi on September 25, 2014.

Their first son Shahroz Rahim Mayan was born on February 5, 2018.
