New Zealand win in 2nd ODI

Visiting New Zealand won the second ODI against host Bangladesh by 86 runs at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Saturday.

In the second innings, the Tigers scored only 168 runs for 10 wickets in 41.1 overs.

Lower-order batter Mahmudullah Riyad scored 49 runs off 76 balls and opener Tamim Iqbal hit 44 runs off 58 balls.

New Zealand bowler Ish Sodhi bagged 6 wickets and became player of the match.

Earlier in the first innings, the Black Caps scored 254 runs for 10 wickets in 49.2 overs.

Wicketkeeper batter Tom Blundell scored the highest 68 runs off 66 balls and top-order batter Henry Nicholls scored 49 runs from 61 balls.

Bangladeshi bowlers Khaled Ahmed and Mahedi Hasan bagged three wickets each and Mustafizur Rahman got two wickets.
