Prime Minister Sheikh Hasian conveyed her expectations regarding the performance of national cricket team in the upcoming World Cup Cricket 2023.
In an interview given to Us-based media ‘Voice of America,’ she said, “We always hope for good performance in world cup cricket.”
Sheikh Hasina said, "They always keep in touch with me. Even before leaving the country, I spoke to the players and also spoke to the organizers. I always keep an eye on them. Besides, I always keep an eye towards sports so that our players can do well and give all possible support.'The Prime Minister expects from the cricketers, "I will tell them that the honor of Bangladesh should be retained. They will give their best efforts and play with sincerity - that's all I want.''
She said, "Its really great that we’ve got chance to play world cup. If you (players) play well, you can get good results. I am always optimistic.”
