Bangladesh women earns historic series win over Pakistan

Bangladesh women's cricket team beat Pakistan by showing a better performance with the bat.

The girls in red and green achieved the feat of winning the series against Pakistan for the first time in the shorter version of cricket. Batting first, Bangladesh got a fighting capital of 120 runs by losing 6 wickets. In response, Pakistan's innings restricted to 100 runs after losing 7 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs.

Jyoti's team won the series against Pakistan in the three-match T20 series by leading 2-0 with this 20-run victory.

Batted first on Friday’s match, the Tigresses got a challenging total of 120 runs for 6 wickets at the end of the scheduled over. In response, Pakistan's innings stopped at 100 runs. Bismah Maruf scored the maximum 30 runs for them. Nahida Akhtar and Rabeya Khan got 2 wickets each for Bangladesh.

Pakistan was on the backfoot from the start of Bangladesh's chase. Tigress pacer Marufa Akhtar bowled the opener Natalia Parvez for only 3 runs of the team.

After that, opener Sidra Amin caught Rabeya Khan's whirlwind for a personal 9 runs. Later, Muniba Ali and captain Nida Dar also returned within a short time.

Nida was bowled by Rabeya and Muniba was trapped by Sobhana Mostari's run out. However, Pakistan's experienced middle-order batsman Bismah was playing at one end.

But he could not stand seeing the frequent departure of his teammates. Bismah was caught by wicketkeeper Jyoti for 30 off Fahima Khatun’s bowling. In the end, Iram Javed and Umm Hani tried for a while but the visitors could not avoid defeat. Eram scored 15 and Umm Hani scored 14 runs.
