Pakistan won by 21 runs (DLS method) against New Zealand in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Saturday.

Chasing 401 runs, Pakistan scored 200 runs in 25.3 overs by losing only one wicket of opener Abdullah Shafique as rain disrupted the play. 

New Zeland pacer Tim Southee bagged the sole wicket. 

Earlier in the first innings, New Zealand posted 401 runs in 50 overs by losing 6 wickets.

Opener Rachin Ravindra got his third century in the tournament by smashing 108 runs off 94 runs.

Captain Kane Williamson scored 95 runs off 79 balls and Glenn Phillips smashed 41 runs from 25 balls.

Pakistan bowler Mohammad Wasim Jr bagged 3 wickets while Hasan Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Haris Rauf got one wicket each.

Net run rate has been calculated considering New Zealand scored 179 in 25.3 overs and Pakistan made 200 in 25.3.
