T Sports Consortium has bought the broadcasting rights of the upcoming two editions of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)- the country’s only franchised-based domestic T20 cricket tournament.

T Sports in partnerships with- Asiatic Mindshare Limited, Top of Mind, Ban Tech Limited and GTV bought the broadcasting rights of these two BPL editions and the matches will be telecast live on T Sports, T Sports App and GTV.

“I would like to thank the Bangladesh Cricket Board for believing in us. We not only want to telecast these matches but also want to increase the brand value of the tournament. I hope there will be a new addition in BPL production this year,” T Sports CEO Ishtiaque Sadeque said, reports The Daily Sun. 

Apart from BPL, T Sports Consortium has also bought the home broadcasting rights of the Bangladesh national cricket team until December 2024 and the home broadcasting rights of the Indian cricket team until 2028.

The four Bangladesh home series that will be aired on T Sports are – a two-match Test series against New Zealand, a full bilateral series against Sri Lanka (two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is), a full bilateral series against Zimbabwe (two Tests and five T20Is) and a two-match Test series against South Africa.

Meanwhile, India will play 25 Tests, 24 ODIs and 39 T20Is on home soil until 2028 and all these 88 matches will also be aired live on T Sports.

“We are working to get the broadcasting rights of all the home and away matches of Bangladesh. But the most difficult part was getting the rights of India. Now fans can watch India’s matches through T Sports. It’s surely great news for the Bangladeshi spectators,” added Ishtiaque.
