New Zealand to chase 397 runs over India in semi-final

India posted a mammoth score of 397 runs in 50 overs by losing 4 wickets against New Zealand in the first semi-final match of the ICC men’s World Cup at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, India on Wednesday. 

Virat Kohli got his 50th ODI century He has overtaken Sachin Tendulkar's 49th century in the format.

Kohli scored 117 runs off 113 balls while middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer got back to back century by smashing 105 off 70 balls.

New Zealand bowler Tim Southee bagged 3 wickets and Trent Boult took one wicket.

Starting batting Indian captain Rohit Sharma started a brilliant innings with his dashing batting style. He smashed 47 runs off 29 balls and opener Shubman Gill smashed 80 runs off 66 balls.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat.
