The 32-team Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) Media Cup Cricket Tournament 24 advanced to the quarterfinal stages on the third day of the meet at the Outer Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday, reports UNB.

Eight teams - Bangladesh Pratidin, Independent TV, T-Sports, Jugantor, ATN Bangla, Channel i , Somoy TV and The Business Standard – reached the quarterfinals, eliminating their rivals in the day's matches.

T-Sports will play Dainik Jugantor at 11 am while ATN Bangla will meet Channel i, also at 11 am in the day's other quarterfinals.

In the day's matches, Bangladesh Pratidin beat Deepto TV by 25 runs; ATN Bangla defeated Desh Rupantor by 11 runs; Independent TV beat Dainik Samakal by five wickets; Dainik Jugantor beat ATN News by 17 runs; The Business Standard earned an exciting win over Channel 24 in super over; Channel i beat Kaler Kantho by 36 runs; Somoy TV defeated Bangla Vision by three wickets while T- Sports beat Ekhon Television in the last ball thriller.

Thirty two teams from different newspapers, news agencies and electronics media are taking part in the tournament on a knock basis competitions.
