Rangpur Riders, in the league match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Tuesday, defeated Comilla Victorians by 8 runs.
Batting first, Rangpur scored 165 runs for 5. Babar Azam scored 37, Azmatullah Omarzai scored 36 off just 20 balls, and Fazle Mahmud made 30 runs for Rangpur.
In reply, Comilla lost the openers at the very beginning of their innings. However, one-down batter Mahidul Islam scored 63, while Towhid Hridoy scorec 39 from just 28 balls.Other batters couldn’t finish it well and Comilla were able to accumulate 157 for 6.
Azmatullah Omarzai took 2 wickets and he was judged player of the match for his brilliant all-round performance.
