Hamza Choudhury visits Bangladeshi High Commission in England for Bangladesh passport

The Bangladesh men's national football team is exploring every possible way to make Leicester City FC midfielder Hamza Choudhury a part of their national team setup, reports Khel Now.

As per reports, Hamza recently visited the Bangladeshi High Commission in London with his mother as a part of the process to get his Bangladeshi passport. Born and brought up in Loughborough, England, the midfielder is a British-Asian with Bangladeshi ancestry through his grandparents, making him eligible to play for Bangladesh.

The 26-year-old has been Bangladesh's target for a very long time and looks prepared to represent the Bengal Tigers internationally even though he hasn't yet made his senior debut and once he receives the green light to play for Bangladesh, there's no looking back for him.

Hamza's career so far

Hamza Choudhury has been a part of Leicester City since his early days. He came up through the ranks and was promoted to the first team in 2015 and has been a part of the Foxes ever since. He has played over 180 games for Leicester City across all age groups, including 53 Premier League games and has accumulated 10 goal contributions in the process.

During his time with the former Premier League champions, Hamza has had loan stints at Watford and Burton Albion. On the international stage, Hamza has seven appearances under his belt for England's U-21 team. He has also represented Bangladesh at the 2019 UEFA U-21 European Championship.

Hamza Choudhary is an experienced midfielder with high class pedigree having played at the highest level for a very long time. He hasn't played at the senior international level yet, but if everything falls into place, his dream of representing Bangladesh might come true. And his addition will add so much to the Bangladesh squad.
